Abstract

A quality-oriented framework is proposed for converting industrial sulfur residues into crop-protection formulations. Recovery streams from oil and gas processing, sulfide-rich alkaline liquors and biological desulfurization are distinguished. Recent studies are evaluated alongside the 2025 FAO/WHO specification framework. The approach links feedstock qualification, uniform delivery and crop-specific validation. Scenario calculations show how reducing composition and mixing variability can improve consistency, while batch acceptance changes manufacturing cost. Published experimental findings are distinguished from the present analytical results. No new laboratory or field experiments are claimed
